THE ACCOMMODATION

Prime location

Nicolas is a quiet and bright studio located on the 3rd and top floor of a classic 18th century Bordeaux building halfway between the Jardin Public and the historic Chartrons district renowned for its antique shops, boutiques and numerous lively restaurants.
The building is ideally located at the foot of the tram line and very close to the public transport hub of Place des Quinconces, for easy access to the entire Bordeaux metropolis. This ancient building does not have an elevator.

Inspiration

The charm of this attic apartment has been combined with a sober decoration enhanced with the vibrant colors of the works of the Russian painter Nicolas de Staël. The bright light of the south of France, where he stayed in May 1952, upset Staël and suggested a series of very colorful landscapes inspired by the beaches of Lavandou (title of the work chosen for the apartment)

Comfort, elegance and environmental consciousness

For the furniture and equipment, craftsmanship, French manufacturing and “upcycled” materials were favored and chosen to harmonize with the oldest elements of the apartment.
The main room has a convertible sofa, television and TV box, a table that can accommodate 4 people. The bedroom has a comfortable Queen size bed and plenty of storage space.
The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator, induction hob, traditional combined oven and microwave. Toaster, kettle and coffee machine complete the numerous amenities at your disposal.
The bathroom, bathed with natural light, has a shower, a washing machine and a hair dryer.

Your personalized welcome will be provided by our concierge. A breakfast delivery service or additional cleaning services can also be arranged for a truly relaxing stay.

THE NEIGHBORHOOD

A chic, attractive and lively district with its elegant buildings, its magnificent Jardin Public and the proximity to historic buildings such as the Grand Théâtre or the Statue of Quinconces.

Only a few minutes from the famous Cours de l'Intendance, the Grand Triangle d'Or or the Sainte Catherine Street (the longest shopping street in Europe). You can stroll around these various historic sites, after shopping in the beautiful shops of the city center or having bought delicious canelés at the Marché des Grands Hommes. This neoclassical square is a reflection of the new vision of urbanism after the French Revolution. All places to meet for the high society of Bordeaux. A tradition that you will still notice at Brasserie Le Noailles. On the other side is the Town Hall (the impressive Rohan Palace), the Saint-André Cathedral and the Pey-Berland Tower, a belfry surmounted by a gilded bronze statue of the Lady of Aquitaine.
